The Moon Box SAO is a universal campervan cabinet that fits almost everywhere. It has a deep cut-out in its upper corner and precisely selected rear angles. As a result, fitting the Moon Box SAO is simple and intuitive, allowing installation in many vehicle models on the market. If you are looking for a functional accessory for different vehicle models, this hanging van cabinet is the ideal solution, maximising the use of space in your vehicle.

Its body is made from 1.5 mm aluminium sheet, laser-cut to a ±0.1 mm tolerance. The alloy used shows no tendency to fatigue cracking even under heavy use. A 5 mm elastic expander cord with blockers and stoppers secures loads of various shapes during transport. The entire unit is assembled with flat rivets, commonly used in the aerospace industry, and finished with a specialised powder coat applied by electrostatic spraying.

The Moon SAO is a modular box system available in eight widths – 25, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 cm. Sizes 25, 40, 50 and 65 cm can be ordered with an integrated MOLLE grid and lighting, and are available in two angles – 101.5° and 109°.

You can mount the Moon Box SAO in two ways – using rivet nuts, or the Moon Fix Bolt A (for Airline tracks) or Bolt B (for Moon Frame 2.0). Enlarged mounting holes increase tolerance and reduce installation time.

The aluminium MOLLE lattice lets you fasten camping or kitchen essentials quickly and securely. It’s additionally equipped with white and red LED lighting. Double-flat rivets, widely used in aviation, make it easier to join modules into longer segments and are completely safe for luggage.

A high-quality expander cord offers quick access to contents while keeping items secure during travel. Unlike the Moon Box IO, the SAO has a fully enclosed back, making it ideal for mounting in a van’s side door. Every Moon Box SAO includes two expanders – one colour-matched and one anthracite – so you can choose which to fit.

The Moon Box SAO was designed with maximum lightness and durability in mind. Made from a high-quality specialist aluminium alloy, it offers not only low weight but also exceptional resistance to damage and no tendency to fatigue cracking. We use high-quality rivets employed in the aerospace industry – flat, galvanised steel, guaranteeing exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Thanks to their flat profile, when you place several Moon Box SAOs side by side, gaps are minimised, creating a uniform surface. The compact cabinet is coated with powder paint applied by electrostatic spraying, which guarantees a smooth, scratch-resistant finish.

Whether you own Van, or plan to install it on your boat, the Moon Box SAO performs perfectly. With eight widths available (25 – 70 cm), it’s easy to adapt to your needs and available space.

Its height of 26.3 cm and depth of 35 cm allow it to fit perfectly into small gaps that often remain unused in standard conversions. The 25 cm-wide model weighs just 1.7 kg, making installation and relocation effortless – yet it’s strong enough to outlast more than one vehicle!

The mounting holes in all Moon Boxes are located at the same height, so the Moon Box SAO will fit previously prepared mounting points. The Moon Box SAO is ready to use straight out of the box, offering stability and functionality on long journeys.

Moon Box SAO perfectly complements the Titan and Tebe and SAO models, using the same mounting system on a single rail. The SAO is the same height as the IO and Tebe models, while the Titan is 20% taller.  Each Moon Box model maintains the characteristic, extremely durable aluminium construction that our brand is known for.

Shipping Disclaimer

Sometimes the incorrect shipping value is calculated when you place an order online. When this occurs a staff member will call or email you and notify you of the accurate shipping quote in which the difference will need to be settled. You will be given the option to cancel the order if you wish.

Returns and Refund Policy

We guarantee that the high quality products we sell are 'fit for purpose' - if it doesn't work for your vehicle, let us know within 14 days, send it straight back and we can exchange or refund, or if after 14 days a store credit.

Returns
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, you need to let us know what you wish to return (please quote your Order # or Invoice #) and how you will be sending it to us. We will issue you a Return Authorisation # with the shipping details.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you if the item is incomplete or damaged, and of the approval or otherwise of your refund (if within 14 days) or exchange or store credit.  All deposits to reserve stock are non-refundable. 

Items for exchange will be sent within 14 days of receipt, stock permitting.

Approved refunds will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card (if still valid - this will be confirmed) or original method of payment (eg bank transfer/EFT), within 14 days of receipt of the returned item.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again or card statement again, and then contact us.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged or if a vehicle accessory, not correct for your vehicle....

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, please choose a reputable courier service, clearly noting the sender details and Return Authorisation # you have received from us.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

We ship across Australia and New Zealand.

All shipments are trackable and you will receive a tracking number upon despatch.

Our shipments are fully insured against loss and damage, ensuring that you will not be at loss should the parcel go missing.

Note all shipments will require a signature upon delivery. A package that has been signed for cannot be declared as lost, so it is important that you specify your correct delivery address or that of a trustworthy 3rd party if you elect to deliver it to an alternative business address for example.

Our pallet shipments may be sent to the depot nearest you for collection, as pallet delivery services are not available in all areas.
