Some excitement at KombiLife this week with the arrival of our KombiLife Beach towels and KombiLife Caps. They look great! We got to show them off at the 2020 Volkswagen Kombi Rally on 7th November at Cronulla beach - which is even more exciting as we got to see the new VW California in the flesh. Our 2021 Calendar is at the printers. They are limited edition and will not last long. Thank you to all those who contributed. Your contributions are very much appreciated and will be enjoyed by many for the whole of 2021. Was great to see all your photos. Your coffee is in the mail.

Old times... Family memories
You may have to be South African to fully appreciate these ads but we think they are great. David Kramer is a South African singer who stars in these ads. In 1983, David was contracted by Volkswagen South Africa, to link his idiosyncratic South African image to their Microbus (simply called a "Kombi"). This was the beginning of a television and print campaign that won the hearts of South Africans. The campaign made David Kramer into a household name and was to continue for the next thirteen years - probably the longest running celebrity endorsement this country has seen. With his trademark red veldskoen shoes, bicycle and guitar, he became a household name as the face of the SA Volkswagen Microbus advertisements. We found this series of ads you may enjoy.
