New Transporter ‘T7’ arrives in Australian Volkswagen Showrooms 

The 2025 Volkswagen Transporter (commonly known as the T7)  has officially landed across the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Dealer network in Australia, marking the debut of the all-new generation of Volkswagen’s iconic workhorse van. Blending European refinement with Australian practicality, the new T7 Transporter arrives with more powertrain options, increased dimensions, and improved in-cabin technology.

Key specs & configurations

The new “T7” Transporter introduces a versatile range designed for trades, fleet operators, and adventure-ready owners alike.

• 2.0-litre Turbo Diesel (125 kW / 390 Nm) paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and 4Motion all-wheel drive (AWD).

• Battery-Electric (BEV) variant producing 210 kW / 415 Nm, with a 64 kWh battery and DC fast-charging capability (10–80 % in about 38 minutes).

Dimensions have grown slightly, with the Short-Wheelbase (SWB) at 5,050 mm and Long-Wheelbase (LWB) at 5,450 mm. Cargo volume ranges from 5.8 m³ to 6.8 m³, payload up to 1,062 kg, and towing capacity up to 2,800 kg for the AWD diesel.
